In order to take down the nation state, we are focusing on the most controversial nation of all, the zionist entity. You will argue that the US is also built on occupied lands- I totally agree, and we need to focus on the occupation of 1848 (Texas, California, Arizona, etc) and this is why we support open borders-to allow the redistribution of the illegal assets that were used to build the US prosperity at Mexicos expense. My guess is that our Attorney General Eric Holder shares my opinion, and why he is vigorously fighting the racist Arizona laws. Back to the occupation of 1948. There will not be peace until Palestine is returned to its endogenous peoples. This is also why the gay movement has allied itself with zionisms opponents. Because we value justice over a temporary gay pleasure in Tel Aviv. Once Hamas and conservative Muslims realize that our common goals overshadow our differences, they will cause tolerance of gays worldwide- a much bigger number of gays will benefit, those from Indonesia to Morocco,

Read more: http://forward.com/articles/159911/when-the-right-is-right-about-the-left/?p=all#ixzz22IRTkaHkScottnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4008006782907969381.post-51917560463600290772012-08-01T09:34:42.366+03:002012-08-01T09:34:42.366+03:00Ya'acov,
I don't see Israel's externa...Ya'acov,

I don't see Israel's external enemies destroying it.

In antiquity, the Jews were done in by domestic in-fighting and lack of national unity; they could not prevail against the Babylonians and the Romans and this was a significant factor in their defeat.

Jewish unity in Israel is very important and an aside from a marginal grouping of Jewish anti-Semites on the Far Left, it should be possible to hold the country together. A shared outlook on religion and culture, an awareness every one is in the same "existential boat" and a will survive among Israel's Jews contributes to Israel's staying power.

There is no guarantee this will last but Israel has never been more confident, stronger and its growing economically, socially and spiritually at the time the Arab World is rent by deep divisions and conflicts. Iran represents the only true existential danger to Israel but I am confident Israel will find an answer to this threat.

In a word, I'm going to say the politically incorrect and unfashionable thing: Israel will survive and defy the interminable prognostications of doom heralded these days from both its worried friends and determined enemies. The reason why I can write this is that Jewish history has its own logic and the Jews have always managed to endure the worst in Exile and now they flourish in the best circumstances in the country to which they have returned and which is once again - their age-old homeland.

The late Ofra Haza sung a very famous song in the 1980s: "Chai." That about sums up the essence of the Jewish spirit - and in these troubled times its in evidence everywhere in Israel. I do not see the end of Israel and in truth it has the brightest future of any country upon this earth.NormanFhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13617524186967828711noreply@blogger.com
