Never thought that it was meant as an actual promise. Rather, I interpreted it as a wish or a hope, much like Lu Yehi.Michhttp://maspikteruzim.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4008006782907969381.post-82549371570340339682010-06-06T07:20:33.273+03:002010-06-06T07:20:33.273+03:00What do you have against Ani Mavtiach Lach, Yaacov...What do you have against Ani Mavtiach Lach, Yaacov?
I thought it a beautiful song at the time.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4008006782907969381.post-87744539238093718822010-06-06T06:29:03.615+03:002010-06-06T06:29:03.615+03:00Yaacov,

"Let It Be" is a great song but "Lu Yehi" is better, in my opinion.

The lyrics on shiron.net include a verse, the second, that is not normally sung, although Chava Alberstein sang it in a video that used to be on Youtube but appears to have been removed. The lyrics are here:

http://www.shiron.net/artist?type=lyrics&lang=1&prfid=4608&wrkid=1895

Any idea why the second verse is not normally sung?

David E.
