Lozowick Profiled on Normblog
I'd hoped to be profilee number 300, that would be next week, but alas, he's put me up as 299. Still, it's an illustrious club, so thanks muchly, Norm.
Thanks for linking to this. It was really fun to read. I especially liked this:
"What has been your best blogging experience? > Learning from far-flung and diverse readers."
Now that I know you like the comments and we share an interest in Lincoln, I will share something I wanted to write the other day on your post about Obama and the Cairo speech.
When Obama was elected the news media here (US) kept talking about the Doris Kearns Goodwin book "Team of Rivals" and saying that this book was very influential to Obama. So I read it.
Kearns' take on Lincoln is that he understood the limits on public sentiment, and would only push ideas one step at a time, much to the disappointment of the Abolitionists and more Radical Republicans. (amazing Republicans were once the progressives in this country!) She felt this was the key to his success.
as Martin van Creveld is on my reading list I couldn't help noticing that you? spelled him on Normblog in a way (Kreveld) which keeps Amazon from recognizing him rgds, Silke

I believe Obama follows this tactic.
