I'm going offline for a week. OFFLINE. Totally. Just like in the 17th century.
In my absence, feel free to visit Fake Ibrahim's place. He'd be really tickled if you all show up suddenly and tell him how persuasive you find him, and how you intend to stick around. I assure you I won't be offended.

I don't know how familiar you are with all this but here is a presentation of what the British National Archives has to offer on the Kindertransport and the presenter offers it in stiff upper lip style as an emotional roller coaster ride that may be hard to surpass

Silke -
There are 2 film documentaries on the kindertransport. "Into the Arms of Strangers: Stories of the Kindertransport," which I have seen and is quite good. And "My Knees Were Jumping: Remembering the Kindertransport" which I have not seen, but was nominated for a prize at the Sundance festival.

thanks for the info
the above talk is about material newly made accessible for the public who wants to do its own research and I find it so very extraordinary because the low-key while firmly staying on the side of the children style of reporting fires up my visual imagination much more than pictures are able to do though I assume there is also a video as she mentions that she shows pictures.
btw I shorted the link it should be
